Greg Pittman attended the North Texas University where he studied management information systems and photography.  He also holds several Microsoft and Oracle certifications and has spent the bulk of his career working in an Information Technology capacity as a corporate trainer, curriculum writer, and systems engineer for Microsoft, Mobil Oil, and Lucent Technologies.  Greg took a leave of absence in 2006, to help care for his ailing grandmother.  During that time he began volunteering for Meals on Wheels and shortly thereafter Meals on Wheels of Texoma hired him as a technology consultant.  A firm believer in embracing change, he immersed himself in the program, and found that his personality, skillset, and love of
people made him a great fit for this kind of work.  It was a match made in heaven, and in October of 2011, the Meals on Wheels Association of Texas honoured him by asking him to serve on their Board, which he enthusiastically accepted and on January 1^st, 2012, Meals on Wheels of Texoma’s Board of Directors named him to the position of Executive Director.

Greg is 42 years old and lives in Denison, Texas.  Among his avocations, he loves photography, he loves his dogs, and he has a passion for technology.   He works for Meals on Wheels of Texoma, a medium-sized non-profit serving Cooke, Fannin, and Grayson counties and feeding roughly 1,600 meals per day to both congregate and home delivered clients.  Greg says that he sees himself doing this, or something like it, for the rest of his life.  “I have a job that gives me positive feedback and immediate results every day.  I know that my work improves the community I live in.  I get the chance to see immediate return on the investments we make; immediate improvement in peoples’ lives.  Not many people can say that about their
job, and I can’t imagine ever leaving that behind.”
