Meals on Wheels Texas Committees
The newly established Advocacy Committee will direct advocacy activities for Meals on Wheels Texas, including identifying yearly advocacy goals, preparing for and engaging in legislative sessions, stewarding relationships with local, city, state, leaders, communicating with HHSC and TDA, and working with the lobbyists to advance the missions of Meals on Wheels programs in Texas.
The Conference Committee oversees and supports many aspects of conference planning, including developing learning tracks, speaker and workshop lists, imagining special events, and providing stewardship for sponsors and vendors.
The Membership Committee is responsible for promoting the Association, membership recruitment and membership retention. The Committee ensures that member listings are accurate and identifies ways for the Association to have value for each participating organization.
The Sustainability Committee identifies strategies for Meals on Wheels Texas to maintain and build sustainability as the organization and helps grows sponsorship recruitment for the annual training conference and special projects.
