The Education Committee is responsible for planning and implementing the Annual Training Conference and supporting other educational opportunities for members.

The Membership Committee is responsible for promoting the Association, membership recruitment and membership retention. The Committee ensures that member listings are accurate and identifies ways for the Association to have value for each participating organization.

The Sustainability Committee identifies strategies for Meals on Wheels Texas to maintain and build sustainability as the organization grows.

Legislative Education & Governmental Affairs Committee

The Legislative Education and Governmental Affairs Committee operates under MOWAT and is responsible for representing the Association in all legislative and State relations matters as directed by the Board of Directors. The Committee develops an annual legislative education and governmental affairs plan for the approval of the MOWAT Board of Directors. This Committee also monitors governmental entities, public hearings and legislative action on matters related to home-delivered and/or congregate meal programs and/or clients, and serve as a resource for decision makers and communicates findings and advocacy opportunities to membership.

Budget & Finance Committee

The Budget and Finance Committee is responsible for submitting an annual budget to the Board of Directors for approval prior to the annual meeting. Once the budget has been approved by the Board of Directors, the Budget and Finance Committee presents the budget to the membership at the annual meeting for adoption. The Budget and Finance Committee is also responsible for an annual review of the financial records and report on said review at the annual meeting.
The Nominating Committee is responsible for taking nominations for director positions, verifying the willingness of such nominees to serve as directors, and compiling a ballot for use at the annual meeting.
